  • Lecturer
    Makerere University School of Public Health, Uganda, from 2008 to present. Responsibilities included teaching Health Policy, Planning, and Management; supervising master and PhD students; coordinating demographic surveillance site start-ups; and leading maternal, newborn, and child implementation research projects.
  • Visiting Researcher
    Department of Global Public Health, Karolinska Institutet, since 2003.
  • Post-Doctoral Fellow
    Health Systems and Policy, Department of Public Health Sciences, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, January 2011 to December 2012.
  • District Medical Officer
    Ministry of Health/Iganga district, Uganda, 2000-2008. Responsibilities included planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring and evaluation for comprehensive health care, including human resources management. Left at the level of Principal Medical Officer.
  • Part-Time Consultant
    World Health Organization/Ministry of Health, Uganda, 2004-2005. Conducted situation analysis for pediatric HIV/AIDS training and supported HIV/AIDS integration into IMCI and scale-up efforts.
